Music in Coboconk Lion’s Park
You don’t have to travel far to discover the rich and unique art and music culture in the Coboconk and Norland Area, where stunning natural surroundings have long fostered creativity.
Mark August 11th on your calendar for our first Music in the Park event this summer! A fun celebration where Brian Ruddy will enchant you with two hours of music from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. All you need is your own chair and your favourite dance moves.
As summer draws to a close, don't miss out on a second Music in the Park event with music by Bev Jeeves on September 2nd.
Both events will take place outdoors in Coboconk Lion’s Park on the corner of Grandy Rd and Highway 35. Admission is free, and drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.
Our region has a long history of creativity, and well-known artists. JEH McDonald from the Group of Seven and his son Thoreau frequently visited and found inspiration here. Many of his paintings capture the charm of the Gull River and Balsam Lake as well as the surrounding forests. You can also find artworks scattered throughout our town such as whimsical murals and creations at Norland’s Fairy Gardens.
Join in on the fun and add Brian Ruddy and Bev Jeeves to the list of names that inspire creativity in our unique area!
